Changelog
Release notes for App Container on AVS-10 and AVS-15 Touch Panels. Panels receive these releases as App Container updates.
3.0.28 — November 6, 2026
Tech Panel and Web Admin
- New Tech Panel, the on-panel settings opened with the technician PIN, organized into six sections: Overview, Apps, Device, Connections, Access & Integrations, and Maintenance.
- New Web Admin, the same settings in a browser on the local network: display, audio, device, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, intercom, Downloads files, logs, restart, and the temporary ADB service session.
- While an ADB service session is on, Approve on device sign-in in Web Admin is unavailable; the sign-in page now says so and asks for the API token instead of waiting.
- The ADB service session now turns off exactly at the time shown, and an open Tech Panel shows when it has ended.
Network
- Wi-Fi status, Disconnect, and Forget now work reliably, and the IP address and network status update live in the Tech Panel.
- Added 802.1X (WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise) Wi-Fi, from the Tech Panel and Web Admin: PEAP and TTLS (MSCHAPv2, GTC, or PAP) with a username and password, or TLS with a client certificate (
.p12/.pfx). The network's server is verified with a CA certificate file or with the system certificates and the server's domain. Upload certificate files to the panel's Downloads folder through Web Admin, then choose them when joining the network. - License activation now completes when a network becomes available after the panel started offline.
Startup and stability
- Fixed a black screen that could appear after an update or a restart.
- A branded startup screen now shows after the boot animation while the panel starts up.
- If the system closes the project's page to free memory, the page now comes back by itself without restarting App Container. If a page keeps being closed, the panel shows a message with a Reload button instead of reloading endlessly.
- Project images and stylesheets now load again after returning to App Container.
- A long press on the power button no longer interrupts the kiosk.
Intercom
- Mute and call volume controls for all calls, including calls with SIP door stations and desk phones.
- Projects can place, answer, and end calls and show call video through the
window.appcontainer.sipJavaScript bridge, and can use the camera and microphone. - The door unlock code is now an intercom setting.
- More reliable calls with SIP door stations, ringing that stops when the caller hangs up, and more reliable discovery of other panels on the network.
Security
- The Remote API token is no longer written to logs.
